Kaufmann, Yehezkel

Kaufmann, Yehezkel
(1889-1963)
   Israeli biblical scholar and philosopher. He was born in Russia and settled in Palestine in 1920, where he later became professor of Bible studies at the Hebrew University. In A History of the Israelite Faith he challenged numerous theories of biblical criticism.
